2011 Bright Lights Award Winners

AWARD METHODOLOGY

The award methodology used to determine the first three categories consists of quantitative scoring of companies on the basis of PatentVest Tech Score and 3 Year Patent Application CAGR, in conjunction with the number of patents granted, patent applications on file and Application Conversion Ratio. The companies are then compared and ranked. There are specific criteria used to ascertain the final rankings in each industry. In addition, factors such as the significance of technology within an industry, product innovation in terms of novel or disruptive technology, unique competitive advantages, stage of technology development and estimated time to market are taken into consideration.

of patent applications on file, adjusted for Application Conversion Rate. The ASTRUM recognizes innovation leadership.
